Peter C. Akerley, BSc, has held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer and director since March 2003. Mr. Akerley has over 20 years in the mineral industry including extensive experience in base, precious and industrial minerals in North and South America as well as Asia where he has been involved in Mongolia since the mid-1990’s.

Peter is a metallurgist with some 25 years experience in project management, general management and operations management in mining and minerals processing in Australia, Africa and Asia. He joined Oxiana in 2000 from Fluor Daniel where he held the position of General Manager - Projects. Prior to this Peter worked with Billiton (Australia), Davy John Brown and JCI (South Africa).

Mr Atherley has lived and worked in Beijing since 2004 and has been responsible for pioneering Leyshon’s activities in China since his appointment as Managing Director in 2003. Mr Atherley has more than 25 years industry experience in the UK, Australia, Africa and East Asia. He was Executive Director of HSBC Australia where he undertook range of advisory roles in the resources sector and following this was the Managing Director of an ASX and Aim listed mining company prior to joining Leyshon. Mr Atherley graduated in mining engineering from the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College in 1982, has a Master of Applied Science in Mining Geomechanics from the University of New South Wales and an MBA from Deakin University in Melbourne.

Since October 2005 Ian Atkinson has been the Vice President of Exploration at Centerra Gold. He is responsible for the development, management and implementation of Centerra’s short-term and long-term strategies, and plans and programs of the organization’s worldwide exploration function. His priority is to develop opportunities for new resources to meet the needs and plans of Centerra and its operating business units. Ian is a senior exploration executive with over 30 years experience in international exploration and mining management, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, joint venture management and strategic planning. Most recently, Ian worked with Hecla Mining Company as VP, Exploration & Strategy. Previously, Ian has worked for a number of mining companies, including Battle Mountain Gold, Hemlo Gold and Noranda.

Fabio de Oliveira Barbosa was appointed Vale´s Chief Financial Officer and Investors Relations Director in May 2002. Prior to that, Mr. Barbosa served as member of Vale´s Board of Directors from April 2000 to March 2002. Prior to joining us, Mr. Barbosa had served as Secretary of the National Treasury Secretariat at the Ministry of Finance since July 1999, after having held the position of Assistant Secretary in the previous years. From 1992 to 1995, he served as adviser to the Executive Board of Directors of the World Bank, in Washington – DC. At the Ministry of the Economic and Finance he was Deputy and Head of the Fiscal Policy Unit from 1990 to 1992. He was an Economic Advisor and head of the Economics Analysis Unit, both at the Ministry of Planning, from 1988 to 1990. Mr. Barbosa held a variety positions at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Paraná State Development Institute, the Ministry of Labor and the Institute for applied Economic Research (IPEA). He was also the Chairman of the Board of Director of CAEMI, Banco do Estado de São Paulo S/A, and also a Board Member of Banco do Brasil S/A, Caixa Econômica Federal, Companhia Siderúrgica de Tubarão and Telecomunicações de São Paulo (TELESP). Fabio Barbosa holds a degree in Economics from the Federal University in the State of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and a Master degree (A.b.D) in Economics from the Brasilia University (UNB). He attended several educational programs at INSEAD, IMD, MIT and attended a specialized course in Financial Programming and Policy at the International Monetary Fund.

Lee is a Director within the RBC Capital Markets Global Mining platform. Based in Sydney, his primary focus is the steel raw materials markets - iron ore, coking coal, manganese and nickel - and the key Australian listed producers of these commodities. Prior to joining RBC Capital Markets in May 2008, Lee worked as a Mining Analyst at Macquarie Capital Securities for five years, also focusing on the Australian base metals and bulk commodity sectors.

Drew Brandy is Head of Land mobile services at Inmarsat. His remit includes commercial responsibility for land based products (e.g. BGAN, RBGAN and GAN); constituting Inmarsat’s high speed data services. Drew has been with the company for four years but has more than fifteen years experience working in the telecommunications industry holding positions ranging from corporate strategy to market and business development with major telecommunications organisations in North America and the UK.

Mr. Brewer's main role is to act as General Manager for the fund. Mr. Brewer brings to the Management team over 15 years of international experience in the natural resources sector and in investment banking. He has experience in gold and base metals mines, having worked at the Kidd Creek Copper and Zinc mine in Canada for Falconbridge, the Lanfranchi Nickel Mine in Western Australia for WMC and the Kinross Gold Mine in South Africa for Gencor. His experience further includes roles in major investment banks such as Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, NM Rothschild & Sons (Australia) Limited and Investec Bank (Australia) Limited in London, Sydney and Perth where he had particular responsibility for structuring and arranging corporate and project funding and commodity risk management facilities for mining companies throughout Australia, Africa, Asia, Europe and North America. In addition, Jason has undertaken numerous advisory assignments for resources companies, encompassing acquisitions and disposals, debt advisory and project advisory roles.

Bill Bulmer is Associate Director in IFC’s Oil, Gas, Mining and Chemicals Department where he is head of the Mining Division. IFC is a very active investor in mining and has a diverse global portfolio including precious and base metals, minerals and coal. Bill has over 20 years’ finance experience in emerging markets and, during his time with IFC, has worked in several investment departments handling a variety of project, corporate and equity financings. This includes several years as a manager in IFC’s Infrastructure Department, helping the Corporation build its expertise and capability for infrastructure finance. Bill is now leading a growth strategy for IFC’s mining investments that focuses on the value addition that IFC can provide to its clients in a range of areas but particularly in relation to sustainable development impacts benefiting local communities. Prior to joining the Mining Division he was Associate Director in the Environment and Social Development Department where he was a key member of the leadership team responsible for the IFC Social and Environmental Performance Standards. Bill was educated in the UK with a BSc(hons) from the University of Reading and an MBA from Cranfield University.

Mr. Michael Carrick is a chartered Accountant with over 20 years experience in the resources sector. Mr. Carrick holds degrees majoring in economics, law, business administration and accounting and has been responsible for the acquisition, development, and operation of a number of major gold projects, both in Australia and internationally. He was previously Executive Chairman of AGR Limited, the entity which owned and developed the Boroo Gold Project in Mongolia, and Chief Executive Officer of Resolute Limited, one of Australia’s largest gold producers. Prior to joining Resolute, Mr. Carrick was a senior partner of Arthur Anderson.

Mr Catlow joined Fortescue as its inaugural Chief Financial Officer in September 2003 and has played a central role the development of the company and in raising more than A$4 billion for the Pilbara Iron Ore and Infrastructure Project. Mr Catlow is an experienced executive in the international resources industry. Over his 25 year career he has held various senior roles in major operating companies and has considerable experience in raising both equity and debt for large resource projects, including the Sengkang Integrated Gasfield and Power Project in Indonesia and various mining projects in North America, Africa and Australasia. Mr Catlow was previously a Director of Consolidated Rutile Ltd and Sierra Rutile Ltd, Executive General Manager Finance of Iluka Resources Limited and Chief Financial Officer of Energy Equity Corporation Limited and Gold Fields Australia Pty Ltd. Mr Catlow has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Durham, UK and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.

Mr. Hiren Chandaria is a Fund Manager with Reliance Mutual Fund managing Reliance Gold ETF. Prior to joining mutual fund arena he was a commodity trader with proprietary desk of Reliance Capital. He has been working with Reliance ADA group since November 2005. Hiren has undertaken various commodity related projects during the last few years. He is one of the youngest fund managers in the Industry. He is a commerce graduate from Mumbai University and holds masters in management studies (MBA) where he specialized in Finance.

David J. Copeland, President, CEO and Director, Continental Minerals Corporation A professional engineer with over 30 years of global experience, Mr Copeland has undertaken assignments in a variety of capacities in mineral exploration, discovery and development throughout the South Pacific, Africa, South America and North America. He leads the Continental team that is focused on advancing its post-feasibility Xietongmen Copper-Gold Project in the Tibet Autonomous Region China through the design and construction phases toward production.

Andrew has been covering the resources and basic materials sectors for the past 8 years. He has directly covered Australia, North America and Asia. He has been more actively covering the Asian region from Japan through to India over the past 12 months with a focus on the steel, cement and forestry segments of the market. Andrew has been based in Hong Kong since the beginning of 2008 and has been with Macquarie since 2005. Prior to this, Andrew worked for ABN AMRO where he covered basic materials. Mr Geoff Davis worked initially with BHP for 10 years following his graduation in 1972, before becoming a consultant to a wide range of mining and exploration companies in Australia, Asia and South America. This work specialised in epithermal precious metal and porphyry copper-gold opportunities, and included project acquisition, assessment and exploration. Since 1990, most of his work has been with junior explorers where he has been Exploration Manager to a number of these companies. In this role he has also been extensively involved in company presentations and numerous capital raisings. He has established working relationships within both the technical and share market sectors of the business. In more recent times Mr Davis has also held Directorships and senior executive positions in a number of listed and unlisted Australian, Asian and London based exploration and mining companies. Mr Davis has been a Director of Medusa since its inception on 5 February 2002.

John Dick is Freehills' South-East Asia managing partner, and is based in Singapore. John has spent 15 years in South-East Asia (Singapore 1989–1994, 2000 onwards, and Vietnam 1994–2000) advising on regional investment projects, particularly in infrastructure and energy and resources.

Guy Elliott has been Finance Director / Chief Financial Officer of Rio Tinto plc and Rio Tinto Limited since 2002. In this capacity he looks after all strategic development and financial affairs. He is Co-Chairman of The Owner’s Council of the RioNor joint venture in Russia. Previously Guy was Head of Business Evaluation at Rio Tinto, a position which he held between 1993 and 1996, and again from 1999 to 2001. This principally involved M&A activity. Guy was President of Rio Tinto Brazil from 1996 to 1999. Prior to joining Rio Tinto he was at Kleinwort Benson. Guy is a Director of Cadbury plc, where he is Senior Independent Director. Guy has an MA in Modern History from Oxford University and an MBA from INSEAD, France. Aged 52, he is married and lives in London.

Archie Enriquez is the Director of Marketing for Straits Global Trading. He joined the founders of Straits Group in 1983, holding management positions in transshipment and marketing operations related to the marine and timber businesses it owned at that time. In 1997 he established the transshipment system and marketing systems for Sebuku coal, was involved in the marketing strategy for Sebuku coal and has helped develop the marketing and customer support team for Straits Asia.

John Erskine is Vice President Business Development Asia, Rio Tinto Alcan. John is based in Kuala Lumpur and is responsible for developing Rio Tinto Alcan’s business throughout the Asia region. John joined Rio Tinto in 1998 and has held business development roles in London, Perth and New Delhi before moving to Malaysia in March this year. John has over 30 years experience in the metals and mining industries. During this time he has held technical, commercial and management roles in Zambia, Papua New Guinea, Australia, India, Europe and North America. He has also spent some years as a strategy consultant to the aluminium sector. John holds a BSc (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester and an MBA from the London Business School.

Jeremy Figgins is the Manager, Corporate Affairs of Straits Asia Resources Limited, who he joined in 2006. In a career covering finance, commerce and industry he has held positions up to and including Managing Director for international banking and finance organizations such as HSBC, 3i and Standard Chartered. In the commercial and industrial field he has held Directorships, CFO, Company Secretarial and COO positions as well as being the personal advisor to the owners of corporate groups employing over 20,000 people, including some of Asia’s largest and best known companies. Jeremy is a lawyer by background, has lived and worked in Asia for over 25 years and also owns his own consultancy business that specializes in corporate finance advisory and strategies for business development.

With over 30 years experience, Stephen Fraser leads a team that specializes in the integrated analysis of geoscience data for mining and exploration purposes. During his undergraduate years, Stephen gained experience as a mine geologist in both soft, and hard rock mining operations (for Thiess Bros at their South Blackwater coal mine, and for Zinc Corporation at Broken Hill). Stephen graduated from the University of Queensland as a structural geologist, then worked as an explorationist in a variety of locations including, Saudi Arabia (Riofinex), Western Australia (CRAE), Eastern Australia and Indonesia (CSR). At CSIRO he has extended his capabilities in the areas of remote sensing and spectral analysis (satellite, aircraft, HyLogger, PIMA & Face Mapper studies), geochemistry, airborne and down hole geophysics, and in the display, interpretation and storage of spatially-located geoscientific data. His interests in the use of computational methods for data analysis has led to the development of specialist software for spatial data mining based on an approach known as self-organizing maps. Currently Stephen is involved in the development of next generation down-hole elemental logging tools using neutron-generators and advanced detector systems.

Dr Harris has worked in the theoretical development and practical application of geophysical technologies, (e.g. seismic reflection, controlled source electromagnetic methods and potential field methods etc) for a wide range of commodities including; Au, Cu, Ni, Coal, Potash, Water, Oil and Gas. He has worked as exploration manager (e.g. North Exploration Limited), consultant geophysicists (e.g. Rio Tinto) and principle researcher (e.g. Curtin University of Technology) and has targeted many thousands of drill holes across projects in Southern Mongolia, Patagonia (South America) and Australia. Recently, his research includes the exciting and rapidly evolving application of Controlled Source Electromagnetic Methods (traditionally a terrestrial method) in deep water settings for oil and gas exploration. His breadth of research and practical experience facilitate a clear understanding of the capabilities of current technologies and the future possibilities for geophysics as an exploration and mine development tool. Dr Harris is currently Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Exploration Geophysics, Curtin University of Technology and is project leader for close to AUD$ 2 million dollars in research funding.

Dominic has 19 years of mining industry experience in SE-Asia (PNG, Australia, Indonesia, Lao PDR). His experience ranges across most aspects of mining from projects to operations from later stages of permitting, construction, operations and into mine closure. The last 10 years have been in management roles with the experience gained in a range of different community, environmental and corporate settings, within an industry that has becoming increasingly proactive to managing risk and in particular mitigating negative impacts associated with mining developments.

Ian Henderson, Managing Director, is a Portfolio Manager in the Global Equities Team, based in London, and is responsible for specialist mandates. An employee since 1991, he was previously responsible for international portfolios and currently manages JPMorgan's Natural Resources Funds. Paul Knight is a Managing Director and Joint Global Head of Metals and Mining at UBS Investment Bank. He is also the Head of the EMEA Industrials Team. He has been based in London since 2006. Prior to that he was based in New York from 1999 to 2006 where he was the Head of the Latin America Investment Banking team. He joined SG Warburg (subsequently acquired by UBS) in London in 1994. David is the Head of UniCredit/HVB’s Project Finance and Structured Commodity Finance team in the Asia Pacific region, based in Singapore. David has specialised in arranging cross border project financing in Asia, including China, Indonesia, Philippines, Indochina, and Australia. David has over 20 years of banking experience, including 15 years in project finance covering Asia. He has been involved in projects across all industries, with an extensive focus on natural resources, including gold, base metals, coal, and industrial minerals. He was previously with British merchant bank NM Rothschild & Sons, where he was Head of Resource Banking – Asia/Australia. He also worked with the International Finance Corporation for two years covering North Africa/Middle East. He has an MBA from Stanford University, California, USA.

Tadashi Maeda, Head, Energy and Natural Resources Finance Department of JBIC was born in 1957. He recieved a BA in Law with honors in 1980 for the University of Tokyo. He lectured Japan's national security strategy on energy, as visiting scholar at SAIS, Johns Hopkins University in Washington,D.C. from 2002 to 2004. He experienced many key positions including Director for Policy Planning, International Bureau of the Ministry of Finance of Japan, the head delegation of the bank to OECD, Deputy Director General of International Finance Department Ⅱand Director General & Special Advisor for Energy and Natural Resources of JBIC. He is resposible for the strategies and operations of JBIC towards energy and resources. He regularly contributes to the major qualified papaers and magazines on energy security and Islamic finance

Sudhir Maheshwari is currently the member of the Group Management Board, responsible for M&A and Project Development activities for ArcelorMittal. He has 20 years experience in steel and related industries. In recent years, Sudhir has played an integral role in all ArcelorMittal acquisitions, including turnaround and integration activities. He also played a key role in various corporate finance and capital market projects including the initial public offering in 1997. He is also the Alternate Chairperson of the Group Strategic Tax and Finance Committee. Over a 20-year career with ArcelorMittal, Sudhir also held the positions of Chief Financial Officer at Mittal Steel Europe S.A., Mittal Steel Germany and Mittal Steel Point Lisas, Managing Director of Business Development and Treasury, and Director of Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions at Mittal Steel. Mr Maheshwari also served on the Board of various subsidiaries of Mittal Steel. He held the position of Chief Financial Officer of LNM Holdings N.V. from January 2002 until its merger with Ispat International in December 2004. Sudhir Maheshwari is an Honours Graduate in Accounting and Commerce from St.Xavier's College, Calcutta and a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants and The Institute of Company Secretaries in India. Greg Mazur is a Managing Director and Head of Energy & Resources for MFC. Mr. Mazur has worked on over one hundred strategic advisory and financing transactions for companies worldwide. Mr. Mazur holds a M.Sc. Roy is Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Gresham Private Equity Limited. He is also a Director of Gresham Partners Limited and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He has more than 18 years experience in the Private Equity industry as a Director of 3i plc in Europe and as Managing Director and Head of DB Capital’s Asian business located in Hong Kong and Sydney prior to joining Gresham as Managing Director. Tim’s primary expertise is in audit, due diligence and valuation studies gained from extensive experience in both operational and technical roles. His broad experience in the mining industry also includes resource and reserve estimation, strategic and economic analysis and project management. Tim holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Geology) from Curtin University, Western Australia and has completed a Masters in Business Administration (Innovation) from Deakin University, Victoria. He is currently completing a Masters in Commercial Law (Deakin University). Tim is a Member of The Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) and a Chartered Professional (Geology). Tim is also a member of the Australian Institute of Management (AIMM) and a member of the Australia Institute of Company Directors (AICD).

Kathryn McPhail joined ICMM in 2002 following over 20 years of development work with the World Bank Group in Washington D.C. and four years in the British High Commission in Nairobi, Kenya. Kathryn has led the development of ICMM’s Sustainable Development Framework and oversees ICMM’s successful Resource Endowment initiative, a policy research project designed to identify good practice and to document the socio-economic contribution of mining investments in poor countries. She managed ICMM’s participation in the World Bank Group’s Extractive Industries Review, the IFC’s Performance Standards review, the successful development of a joint World Bank/ICMM Community Development Toolkit and ICMM’s submissions to the UN Secretary General Special Representative on Business and Human Rights. At the World Bank, Kathryn designed the monitoring system used to track the compliance of World Bank projects with social and environmental policies. She also developed good practice social assessment guidelines for the Global Environmental Facility. She represented the World Bank Group on the Assurance Group for the Metals, Mining and Sustainable Development project (MMSD). As program manager at the World Bank and IFC, Kathryn participated in the design, implementation and evaluation of development operations in thirty developing countries. She has authored over 40 articles and publications.

Alexander Molyneux has ten years experience in providing specialist investment banking services to the mining industry. He joined Citigroup from UBS in mid-2007 as Head of Metals & Mining Investment Banking and has rapidly established Citi as the largest metals and mining investment banking business in Asia (by revenue). Alex is based in Hong Kong and has been working with Asian clients since 2002. A key sign of his immersion in the Asian mining industry is that he has been responsible for leading the sector investment banking team on half of the HKEx IPOs for Chinese mining companies since the start of 2005. Alex and his team provide specialist sector-based advice to assist clients raise all forms of capital across the equity and debt spectrum, and also to identify and execute mergers and acquisitions. Core clients and transactions Alex has been involved with include those for China Shenhua Energy, Zhaojin Mining, China Molybdenum, China Coal, China Minmetals, Sichuan Hidili Industries, Indika Energy, OZ Minerals, Zinifex and Xstrata.

Besides being a hardcore techno managerial professional, Mr. Mukherjee has occupied various corporate positions in mineral & mining industry and served various Expert Committees of Govt of India. Being a member of task force, Mr. Mukherjee was engaged in country’s maiden effort of underground coal gasification project in Mehsana, Gujarat taken up by ONGC. Mr. Mukherjee was actively involved in conceptualization and creation of Coal Videsh – the then proposed overseas arms of Coal India Ltd. Mr.Mukherjee has been extensively exposed to coal industry of India, Australia, China, Indonesia, South Africa, Tanzania, Mozambique, Colombia, South Africa, U.K., U.S.A, former Soviet Union & Canada, and iron ore mining in India, Canada, Australia, Chile & Brazil.

Mr. Muthuraman holds degrees in Bachelor of Technology in Metallurgical Engineering from IIT, Madras and a Masters of Business Administration from XLRI, Jamshedpur. He has also completed the Advanced Management Programme at European Centre for Executive Development, France and has undergone the Leadership Programme at INSEAD, France. He joined the Company in 1966 and has held various positions at the Company including Vice President (Marketing & Sales) & Vice President (Cold Rolling Mill Projects). He was appointed as Executive Director in 2000 and the Managing Director of the Company in 2001. He is on the Boards of several companies which include, Tinplate Company of India, Natsteel Asia Pte Limited, Bosch Limited, Tata Industries and Tata Steel (Thailand). Mr. Muthuraman is a Director on the Board of CEDEP France. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Governors of XLRI, Jamshedpur and of IIT, Kharagpur. Mr. Muthuraman is also a member of the Business Advisory Council of Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) as well as a member of the UN Global Compact Board. Mr. Muthuraman received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from IIT Madras in 1997 and the Tata Gold Medal from the Indian Institute of Metals in 2002. In 2005 he also received the “CEO of the Year Award” from Business Standard

Tarek is a geologist with 8 years of industry experience in mining and exploration, mostly with BHP and Placer in Australia and Papua New Guinea. This has been followed by more than 20 years banking experience with several global and Australian banks in project and asset finance, leveraged finance and corporate lending. His project and asset finance activities have been across all sectors, but his prime focus has been on the mining & metals and oil & gas industries. He recently joined Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation to develop and coordinate its Asia Pacific mining & metals business.

Brent O’Meagher has over 15 years of domestic and international experience in the design, development and commissioning of hi-tech electronics and computer based systems that increase productivity and bring operational benefits to heavy machinery operating in rugged environments. Brent has experience in industries ranging from offshore oil & gas to marine construction & dredging to fleet tracking. He now leads the Productivity Solutions Business Unit at Actronic Technologies. Prior to joining Loadrite, O’Meagher held Product & Project Management roles at Navman Wireless Data and Trimble in New Zealand and the United States of America O’Meagher received his Bachelor of Surveying degree from Otago University.

Mr Ong Chong Jin joined the Singapore Exchange (SGX) as Senior Vice President and Head, Catalist on 8 July 2008. He is responsible for growing and developing Catalist as a choice capital platform in Asia catered for fast growing companies. Mr Ong joined SGX from CLSA Merchant Bankers where he was Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking for Singapore and Malaysia. He was responsible for growing the firm’s investment banking franchise in the two countries. Prior to CLSA Merchant Bankers, he held senior positions in Cazenove & Co. in Singapore and Merrill Lynch in Hong Kong. Mr Ong started his banking career with Citibank N.A. Mr Ong holds a Masters’ in Business Administration (MBA) from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, USA, and also a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA) from the National University of Singapore. He is also a certified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Mr. Petersen (61) has more that 35 years of experience in mineral resources as an Associate Professor of Economic Geology at the University of Aarhus and an active consultant to the mining industry. He is a Fellow of the Geological Society of London, the Society of Economic Geologists and a member of the Association of Applied Geochemists and the Prospectors and Developers Association. Mr. Petersen was the VP Exploration of Mindex ASA and Senior Vice President in Crew Gold Corporation before he joined Intex Resources in his continued career of resource discovery and acquisition. Mr. Petersen resides in Manila, the Philippines.

Ian Preston graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand with a Bachelor of Science Degree, majoring in Mining in 1974. He completed his MBA in 1980. Ian has extensive mine level production management experience and corporate experience, initially with the Rand Mines Group where he spent 11 years, leaving them from the position of Technical manager – Gold & Precious Metals Division. He then spent a number of years in a junior mining company as Managing Director followed by a spell in general industry. Ian moved into the Funds Management Industry in 1994 joining Liberty Asset Management, specialising in Mining Research and Management of a number of General Superannuation Funds. In 1997 Ian moved to Australia and joined Suncorp Metway Investment Management Limited as Head of Mining Research – Equities Analyst. Ian joined Goldman Sachs JBWere in 2000 as a Gold Analyst and his responsibilities soon increased to include mid-cap base metal companies. By 2004, escalating investment interest in the resource sector saw a need for coverage of the emerging mid-small-cap mining companies, for which Ian also assumed responsibility. Ian became an equity owner of the firm in 2008.

Mr Rashleigh graduated from Leeds University in 1970, majoring in mining engineering. He has had over 30 years experience in the resources industry, both in Australia and overseas. He has held senior operational and management positions with Mount Isa Mines and British Steel Corporation Overseas Services, and has an excellent knowledge of both open pit and underground mining. His corporate experience with North Queensland Resources, Billiton Australia, Acacia Resources Limited and AngloGold Ashanti Australasia Limited has allowed him to work on substantial acquisition,divestment and property valuation assignments.

David Royle has extensive international experience in exploration for precious metals, base metals and diamonds with major multinational resource companies over the past 34 years. He has a track record for the discovery of a number of significant minerals deposits in Australia, South America and South-West Pacific through regional grass roots exploration. His experience includes strategic planning and design, budgeting, and implementation of exploration projects from reconnaissance to advanced stage and evaluation projects. He is a Fellow and Chartered Professional of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists. David is currently the Vice President Exploration and Business Development of East Asia Minerals.

Don Runge has 31 years experience in the mining industry during which he has held the majority of positions involved in operational activities as well as project and construction management. His expertise lies in the areas of feasibility, development and efficient operating control of underground mining and treatment operations. He has adopted senior management roles including both study and implementation roles in three recent project developments, those being the Cracow Gold Project (Newcrest Mining Ltd), the Ridgeway Project (Newcrest Mining Ltd) and the E26 Project, (Northparkes – North Ltd). Throughout earlier project developments Mr Runge has filled senior roles (including corporate) in completing feasibility studies for the purpose of securing project finance and equity participators.

Peter is responsible for Actis’s investments in the resource sector. Peter has six years of experience in mining investment, following a 15 year career in the mining industry as an exploration geologist, exploration manager and feasibility study coordinator. Previously he worked for Billiton Australia where he was part of the team that discovered the 10 million ounce Sunrise Dam Gold Mine. Following that, Peter managed the Gold Ridge Gold Mine feasibility study in the Solomon Islands for Ross Mining. Peter has a BSc in Geological Sciences and a PhD in Economic Geology, both from the University of Leeds. He also holds an MBA, with distinction, from Manchester Business School and the University of Wales.

He is currently the Director General of Mineral, Coal and Geothermal. He previously held positions such as Secretary of Directorate General of Mineral and Director of Mineral in the Coal and Geothermal Supervision. He got his Ph.D from Ecole Nationale Superure Des Mines De Paris, Geological Department et Recheherche Miniere, Paris-France, in 1993 and also studied in Bandung Institute of Technology, Mining Exploration Department, Bandung in 1976, Ir.

Mr.R.N.Singh an alumni of Indian School of Mines,of 1964 batch is having a vast experience in Indian Mining Industry spread over more than 4 decades . Mr. Singh started his career in Bhilai Steel plant in 1975 and switched to NMDC ,a Central Government Enterprise ( one of the NAVARATNAS) in 1977, where he successfully rose to the position of Director (commercial). During this tenure in NMDC he has made significant contribution in development of a large mechanized opencast iron ore mine involving critical understanding of uncertainties and imponderables along with defined and identified prospect parameters relating to resource base, mining methodology, environmental issues, legislative enactment provision and human resource and social issues. With his rich and varied experience Sh. RNSingh is the real enabler and facilitator for conceptualizing and executing the development of new projects The experience and exposure to coal mines in pre nationalization era has contributed to understand the nity gritty of coal mining. Since 2004 he has been steering the development of mineral resources globally for Ispat Ind. Ltd.

Dr. Christopher Smith is the business development manager for mining and exploration at Thermo Scientific Niton Analyzers, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific. Previously, Dr. Smith worked as a geochemist with Shell Exploration & Production Co. where he supported the Unconventional Oils group with reservoir characterization and trace element geochemical studies. His professional experience has also encompassed work as a geologist on several copper and gold mining projects in North America, where he was responsible for production and exploration activities. Dr. Smith has been a lead and contributing author to numerous peer-reviewed publications as well as having presented his research and findings before professional societies and organizations. He completed his PhD in Geology with an emphasis on analytical geochemistry and economic geology at the University of Michigan.

Mr. Felix Song is Techking Global Mining Manager with rich tire management experiences in the industry. Felix joined Techking Company as Sales Engineer responsible for mining projects in Southern Africa. Felix has been working closely with local partners to offer efficient tire management proposals to mines, aiming to improve the machinery efficiency and reduce operation cost. The efforts are gradually building Techking as a service-oriented brand.

Trevor is the Chief Investment Officer and a Managing Partner at Baker Steel, which he co-founded in 2001. From 1992 until 2001 Trevor was a senior portfolio manager at Merrill Lynch Investment Management ('MLIM', formerly Mercury Asset Management) where he specialised in the natural resources sector and worked alongside David Baker within MLIM's award-winning natural resources team. Prior to joining the natural resources team, Trevor worked with various teams at MLIM, having joined in 1991 as a graduate trainee. He holds a degree in Geology from the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College, London. He is a member of the UK Society of Investment Professionals (UKSIP) and a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR).

Garry Stein is the Managing Director of Quam Private Equity, part of the Quam Group of companies (www.quamlimited.com). Mr. Stein has nearly forty years of experience in executive roles in natural resources, banking, investment management, mergers & acquisitions, private equity and strategic planning. Prior to joining Quam, he was actively involved in China and Chinese mining for several years and has been successful in raising and investing substantial funds internationally for investment in Chinese projects. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the Case Western Reserve University, Master of Applied Science in Metallurgy and Materials Science from the University of Toronto and Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, York University. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers.

Alistair Stephens is a graduate in geology and business. He has 20 years experience in the mineral resource industry with companies including Newmont, Normandy, KCGM, WMC and Orica. Alistair has extensive career experience in resource and mine geology, mining, mineral processing and marketing.

Peter is a geologist with nearly 40 years experience in mine geology, mineral resource and ore reserve estimation, feasibility studies, project evaluation and mineral exploration. Prior to joining AMC in April 2003, Peter was an independent consultant with ten years experience in his own business, first established in 1989. Peter’s consulting included advising the audit committee of an Australian Gold Mining Company on Mineral Resource reporting and numerous audits and due diligence studies. He was a General Manager in MIM Exploration with responsibility for technical services and also for Mineral Resource and Ore Reserves reporting for the MIM Holdings group of companies from 1992 to 1996. Peter was formerly Chief Geologist at Mount Isa Mines Ltd, having worked at Mount Isa for 13 years. He was also a director of a junior exploration and mineral treatment technology company. Peter has participated in management of exploration, project evaluation and acquisition and review of mining projects in Australia, PNG, Argentina, Chile and the Republic of Ireland. He has undertaken consulting assignments and visits to operating mines, exploration sites and financial institutions in the USA, Canada, Peru, Fiji, Egypt, New Zealand, Indonesia, Tanzania, Botswana, Mongolia, Thailand, South Africa, Hong Kong, England and Republic of Korea and participated in Australian Trade missions to Chile and Peru. Peter is a Fellow of The Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) and a Chartered Professional (Geology). He is the current Chairman of the Joint Ore Reserves Committee and was Secretary from late 1999 to 2005. He is also a member of Committee for Mineral Reserves International Reporting Standards (CRIRSCO). He was a member of the Steering Committee and a contributor for Monograph 23 “Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves Estimation - The AusIMM Guide to Good Practice” and has authored or co-authored a number of papers on Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve estimation, classification, exploration research and practice. He is the past Chair of The AusIMM’s Geoscience Taskforce and a past Councillor, branch chairman and secretary.

Ami Tantri is a director with Credit Suisse in the equity research department in Jakarta, Indonesia. Her current coverage includes the oil and gas, mining, cement sectors in Indonesia. Prior joining Credit Suisse, Ami had worked in equity research with BZW, Jardine Fleming, and JPMorgan. She also spent around 2 years working for Medco Energi (an oil and gas company) as the head of Risk Management Department.

Sulian co-heads the Natural Resources Group for Asia Ex-Japan. She joined Goldman Sachs in 1999 in the Mergers & Acquisitions department in New York, transferred to the Industrials Group in 2001 and then to the Global Natural Resources Group in 2007. She was named managing director in 2007. Prior to joining the firm, Sulian was a consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton. She earned a BA and an MS from Harvard University in 1995 and an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 1999.

Chris Tonkin is Head of Natural Resources in ANZ’s Project and Structured Finance group. He has extensive experience in business generation, development and management obtained over twenty-five years in industry and finance and has a strong track record in advising on, structuring and arranging project and structured finance facilities for resources, energy/utility, telecommunications and infrastructure projects. In his current role, he is responsible for ANZ teams originating, executing and managing financial structuring, advisory and arranging mandates for project and structured facilities in the mining and metals and oil and gas sectors. His experience in advising on and raising finance for complex projects in these sectors includes project evaluation, structuring, arranging and providing finance for companies and projects involved in base and precious metals, precious stones, coal, mineral processing, oil and gas and related infrastructure. Chris has led a wide range of project finance activities, including the teams involved in arranging a US$520 million secured financing for Oxiana Limited’s Prominent Hill and Golden Grove Projects, a US$140 million Project Finance Facility for Oxiana’s Sepon copper-gold project and currently underwriting and arranging US$240 million in Project Finance Facilities for Pan Australian Resources in Laos. In addition, ANZ has arranged and participated in numerous financings for large and junior resources companies, such as Western Areas, AMCI, Resource Pacific, Lihir Gold, Hardman Resources , Woodside Petroleum and others. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree, Bachelor of Arts degree and an MBA from the University of Melbourne. He began his career as a metallurgist, followed by management, business planning and marketing roles at a number of major companies, and senior lending, financial management, project finance and advisory roles at AIDC and The Chase Manhattan Bank. He also worked on corporate advisory assignments for KPMG in its corporate finance group prior to joining ANZ.

Mark Travers is General Counsel for Vale Inco, currently based in Canada. He was formerly the Deputy General Counsel, Asia/Pacific at Vale Inco Limited. Vale Inco Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Companhia Vale do Rio Doce, is the second largest producer of nickel in the world. Mark led the Asia/Pacific team within the Vale Inco Legal Group. The team, consisting of 13 lawyers located in Toronto, Indonesia, China and New Caledonia, provides legal support to the company's businesses in the Asia/Pacific region. Prior to joining Vale Inco Limited in 2001, Mark was a Senior Associate practicing corporate and securities law at Smith Lyons LLP in Toronto. Mark is a graduate of York University/Osgoode where he completed a Joint MBA/LLB program.

Ryan is a Commercial Advisor to Hancock Prospecting as well as a member of the Hancock Family. He is working on the rapid development of Hancock's Iron Ore, Coal and Manganese deposits throughout Australia and has previous experience with Rio Tinto in Perth and Standard Bank's Mining & Metals team in New York. Ryan has a BA(Hons) in International Finance and Accounting from Regent's Business School in London.

Philip Welten is a mining engineer with over 30 years experience in a range of commodities including iron ore, gold, copper and uranium. During his extensive career in the resources sector Mr Welten has primarily worked for major mining companies including the Rio Tinto Group, North Limited, WMC, Barrick and Newmont. His background is in Operations Management, Project Feasibility and Resource Development both in Australia and overseas. Mr Welten held the position of Operations Manager at Robe River Mining's Pannawonica Mesa J mine and also worked on the feasibility studies for the West Angeles Iron Ore Project. Prior to joining the board of Indo Mines he held a senior management position at the Barrick / Newmont Joint Venture owned Superpit in Kalgoorlie.

Mr Wong Jiong Hui is the general manager of the Mineral Resources Division of China Minmetals Corporation. China Minmetals Corporation, founded in 1950, is a large sized group dealing worldwide in development, production, trading and operation for metals and minerals. It is also engaged in finance, real estate and logistics. In 1999, China Minmetals was listed among the 44 "key enterprises" with a great bearing on national security and economic lifeline under the direct jurisdiction of the Central Government. In 2007, the Group achieved a total business volume of US$21.8 billion with a profit of RMB7.1 billion yuan and was ranked No.412 among the Fortune Global 500 for the second time. The main job of Mineral Resources Division is carrying out venture exploration projects. It has played an key role of acquireing mineral resources for Minmetals. By now, they have acchived great success in several domestic projects.

Su-Ming is an investment professional with over 20 years’ direct investment, international corporate advisory and merchant banking experience. He is a director of several portfolio companies including Tarocash, Royal Plast and Intercast & Forge. Prior portfolio directorships include Dexion, Amdel, Hypertec and Ontera Modular Carpets. Su-Ming is also a director of AMWIN Management, which he was instrumental in establishing with Walden International to manage the AMWIN Innovation Fund. Su-Ming was a founding director of National ICT Australia, a centre of excellence in information and communications technology research and development. He was a member of the South Australian Venture Capital Board and a former Council member of the Australian Venture Capital Association. He was also a member of the Industry Research & Development Board. He holds a Master of Engineering from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand and a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management.

After completing my MBA in 1993 I worked in the mining finance divisions of NM Rothschild and Sons and then Standard Bank London Limited for several years, working on numerous mining project finance and M&A transactions. At Standard Bank I had specific responsibility for developing contacts and business in Asia and made several trips to the region. While banking I saw a gap in the market for a high quality broker / adviser for junior (pre production) resource companies and left banking in 2003 to set up Vicarage Capital Limited (VCL). VCL is an FSA regulated resource finance firm, we specialise in assisting junior resource companies to find appropriate funding and investors. VCL also offers mergers and acquisition advice and general investor relations services and writes research aimed specifically at fund managers (not the retail sector).

Paul Wright joined Eldorado in July 1996 and held the positions of Vice President, Mining and Senior Vice President, Operations before being appointed President and Chief Executive Officer in October 1999. A graduate of the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, Paul has over 28 years of experience in developing and operating open pit and underground gold mines. Prior to joining Eldorado, he worked with Placer Dome, the Redpath Group and Granges. Paul is a member of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, the Institution of Mining and Metallurgy of London and is a Chartered Engineer (UK).

Mr. Zhivov has over 20 years of experience in managing major corporations and diversified holding companies in Russia, United States, and Canada. In 2006-2007, he was First Deputy Director-General of Techsnabexport (TENEX) - a world leader in delivery of an entire range of nuclear fuel cycle products and services. In 2007, Vadim L. Zhivov was appointed Director-General of Atomredmetzoloto (ARMZ Uranium Holding Co.). Mr. Zhivov graduated from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute majoring in applied physics, received a bachelor’s degree in law by correspondence, and took an international course in Business Administration at the International Chamber of Commerce in Ontario, Canada. Mr. Zhivov is the author of a few technical innovations.

Jane Zhu became Head of Asia Pacific of the London Stock Exchange in Oct. 2004, and is based in the Exchange Asia Pacific Office in Hong Kong. She is responsible for all the Exchange business development in the region. She joined the London Stock Exchange in 1998, as Head of Asia Pacific in International Business Development Dept. responsible for the Exchange's business development in the Asia and Pacific, and Middle East and Africa regions since 2002. Before joining the London Stock Exchange, she worked for five years at the London International Financial Futures and Option Exchange (LIFFE), as Senior Manager with responsibility for marketing the Exchange in South East Asia and China. Previous to this, she held various senior positions in project financing, venture capital and technology transfer industries in Europe, Hong Kong and China. Jane Zhu gained BA degree in China and received her MBA degree for International Financing in London, United Kingdom. She is married and has one daughter.
