PRE-CONFERENCE SUMMIT
RAISING CAPITAL IN ASIA: OPPORTUNITIES & CHALLENGES FOR THE MINING SECTOR

This summit is for mining companies at different stages of development who are looking to find
out how they can raise capital cost-effectively in Asia versus other regions. With the Western
financial markets in turmoil and investors turning away from high-risk projects, what is the outlook for raising capital and the potential of accessing capital in Asia?

Featuring thought leaders from leading international & regional financial institutions, advisers and
stock exchanges, this summit will evaluate the health of Asia’s financial markets; assess the
investment appetites of different investors in the region and share best practices and transactional strategies in raising capital in different Asian countries.
