Coal to Liquids Project Management
Acquiring strategic insight to the Coal to Liquids
production and its long-term business potential
The new buzz word: Coal to Liquids has been gaining
attention as it boasts enormous potential as an alternative
fuel to the world’s growing fuel demand. There are however,
several challenges such as financing, carbon emissions and
sustainability which are being debated and resolved as
technology evolves. The objective of this training course is to
understand the future opportunities and issues that will affect
anyone in an energy related industry.
Workshop Highlights
- CTL and the Fischer-Tropsch process
- Coal to Methanol/ DME & Gasoline
- Clean coal technologies that can be used to assist with
the carbon emission challenge
- Critical comparison of coal/gas fuels versus LNG – Is LNG competitive?
- Examining potential of jointly developing a Coal to Liquid
(CTL) fuel conversion plant project in coal-rich countries
- Building Strategic Alliances with private industrial
conglomerates
- Meeting global energy demand with CTL fuel: how can
that be accomplished?
- Mechanisms for addressing climate change (UNFCCC,
Kyoto Protocol, CDM) and Asia in the climate change
debate
