Targets in Context - Linking Targets to Diseases
August 4-6, 2009
(August 4 pre-conference workshop*, August 6-5 main conference)

Understanding the Physiological Relevance of Targets with Novel Technologies and Approaches

The conference attempts to address the link between targets and diseases through the understanding of the physiological relevance of targets in context, to select the right targets to move forward for drug development. Proven or novel technologies, approaches and strategies for target validation will be explored and case studies of targets in preclinical or clinical development will be presented to illustrate the clinical relevance and validation of the targets.

Why You Should Attend:

  • The ONE event that looks specifically at how companies are linking targets to disease more effectively, through the use of various innovative tools and ultimately showing proof-of-concept in the clinic
  • Learn about the effectiveness of the various tools and approaches, from genomics, proteomics, metabolomics to systems biology and RNAi, from in vivo and computational approaches to cell- and tissue-based screening methods.
  • Hear case studies of targets for oncology, diabetes and inflammation in the clinic
