The Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP)

3GPP has developed specifications for third generation mobile telecommunications that are a part of the ITU IMT-2000 family.The partnership is also responsible for the maintenance and evolution of the specifications for the GSM standard and transitional technologies towards 3G (GPRS and EDGE).

Current work is focusing on the evolution (LTE) of the UMTS standard to provide true broadband mobile and a system beyond 3rd Generation.

Association of Unified Telecom Service Providers of India (AUSPI) is the representative industry body of Unified Access Service Licensees providing telecom services in the country. The CDMA Development Group (CDG) is a consortium formed to foster the advancement of CDMA. The CDG is a global organisation of the world's leading wireless operators, manufacturers and suppliers collaborating on the evolution of CDMA through advanced features and services development, public relations, international education and deployment programs and regulatory affairs.
