SECOBO® is ready for industrial use and is into series production since September 2007. This innovative transponder antenna for RFID tags has been dimensioned to suit the ISO card and will initially be utilized in the card and ticketing sector.

SECOBO® is distinguished by its ultra-high conductivity. When compared with aluminum antennas, the copper antennas are characterized by their high electrical quality and an almost 60 percent higher conductivity. The antennas are produced in a novel process involving neither winding nor etching, which brings significant advantages. The manufacturing process is considerably more economical than for wound antennas. The new antennas, fabricated by a galvanic method (selective copper deposition), offer exactly the required quality factor. Compared to etching of antennas, the process is significantly more environmentally-friendly because it consumes much less material and produces almost no environmentally damaging waste materials.

Sonitor Technologies' unique ultrasound RTLS automatically tracks the real-time location of moveable equipment or people in complex indoors environments with 100% room-level, or zone-level accuracy (such as bed-level) within a room. Due to the unique attributes of ultrasound there is no risk of electromagnetic interference with or from other equipment. The low quantity of data transmitted from the Tags requires minimal LAN bandwidth so existing wired or wireless LAN can easily be leveraged. Existing PC's can be leveraged as tag signal detector eliminating the need for other RTLS hardware than tags attached to the objects to be located or tracked. The Sonitor RTLS is fully, easily and quickly scalable. The small footprint Tags have optional communication buttons for custom configuration. Semi-disposable patient tags with a single patient use outer shell eliminate risks of cross contamination. Cost is competitive compared to regular RFID or Wi-Fi based tracking technologies.
