Abstract
The DSLAM remains a central part of carriers broadband strategy. While the
DSLAM itself is a relatively mature market, it is however still going through
changes.
The biggest changes currently affecting the market is the migration to higher
bandwidth service offerings, and the move away from ATM based DSLAMs towards
IP. Naturally, DSLAM shipments follow DSL service growth, with the majority of
DSLAM ports shipped to Asia Pacific and Europe/Middle East/Africa in 2005.
This report examines the worldwide market for DSLAM infrastructure. Included
in the report are five-year forecasts of shipments by the different port
technologies (ADSL, VDSL, etc.), average selling price per port, and total
revenues. It also forecasts the market for IP DSLAMs.
This report also provides 2005 market share by vendor, segmented by geographic
regions.
