Research and analysis highlights

With a 26% share of the total number of service station sites in the country PKN Orlen remains the biggest fuel retailer in Poland. Its service stations operate under the Orlen, Petrochemia Plock and Bliska brands. By the end of 2010, the company expects the number of Bliska branded sites to rise to from 403 to 900 outlets.

Statoil has over 270 service stations in Poland. 89% of these have a shop while 70% of its shops have a bakery onsite. Additional services on offer include over the counter medicine prescriptions and lotto machines. Furthermore, the company is developing a wide range of own branded goods, such as barbecue products.

37% of Shell' s total network in Poland have an on-site car wash. The vast majority have an automatic wash, most of which are roll-over machines manufactured by WashTec. The busiest service stations have ISTOBAL branded tunnel-machines that can clean up to 100 vehicles per hour.
