Abstract
D&MD's High Content Screening (HCS): An Industry Analysis is focused on an
emerging and key segment of the life science tools and technology space-high
content analysis. High content biology has various ramifications in life
science research, academic research, drug discovery, and development. This
report focuses on this emerging space, the major technologies and products,
and its market landscape through both a qualitative and quantitative analysis.
In addition to describing the technical aspects of high-content screening
(HCS) in this report, we present a thorough market analysis complemented by
primary data from a proprietary survey conducted on this topic by D&MD.
HCS and secondary screening are an outgrowth of high-throughput screening that
have commanded much attention and resources in the pharmaceutical and
biotechnology companies over the past decade. Currently, the challenge has
moved towards analyses of sub-cellular organization, morphology, and these are
major facets of HCS.
