Abstract
This ElectroniCast report presents the findings of our study of the global
market for dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM), coarse wavelength
division multiplexing (CWDM) and conventional wavelength division multiplexing
(including wideband WDM or WWDM) filter components / modules. This report
provides the filter component / module market forecasts for each year,
2007-2012, in terms of Quantity (number of units), Average Selling Prices
(ASPs) per unit and Consumption Values. The forecast data for the following regions, plus a Global summary:
- America (North America, Central America and South America)
- Europe
- Asia Pacific (APAC)
The forecasts are presented for use in:
- Telecommunications
- Private Data Networks
- Cable TV
- Military/ Aerospace
- Specialty Applications (including Test Instrumentation)
The following technology types are segmented and presented in the DWDM forecasts:
- Dielectric Thin Film Interference Filters (DIF or TFF)
- Arrayed Waveguide Gratings (AWGs)
- Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBGs) and “Other”
Market Data are segmented by channel count (number of wavelengths):
DWDM
- Less than and including (< =) 4 wavelengths
- 8-10 wavelengths
- 16 to 20 wavelengths
- More than (>) 20 to 40 wavelengths
- More than (>) 40 wavelengths
CWDM
- Less than and including (< =) 4 wavelengths
- 8 to 18 wavelengths
Conventional WDM
Total (summary) of all channel-counts (>=) 2 wavelengths
