Abstract
This Financial Insights report presents a case study interview of Frank
Villavicencio, director of product management for Citi' s Managed Identity
Services within Citi' s Global Transaction Services business. Based on his
experience, Villavicencio believes that buyers truly value open and
interoperable standards when making vendor decisions. Regulations concerning
identity management, security, and privacy are becoming increasingly stringent
and complex, and the penalties are becoming more severe. In addition, evidence
is mounting that those financial institutions that perfect their processes for
digital signatures and identity management will gain a competitive advantage
through more efficient processes and related cost savings.
