Abstract
The study examines the development of the congestion charging market in Europe
by analysing the various upcoming congestion charging schemes for the European
market in the UK, Netherlands, Norway, Spain and Italy.The research study also
analyses the effectiveness of existing and future technologies with respect to
their advantages and disadvantages. The study examines in depth the congestion
charging schemes running in London and Stockholm, assessing the future
perspective of the schemes in particular the viability of the existing
technologies and the future roadmap of the technologies to come into existence.
