Abstract
This research service examines three key technologies in retail; the
point-of-sale (POS), handheld terminals / mobile data computers, and tablet
personal computers (PCs). Expansive unit shipment and revenue forecast
analysis are presented for each geographic region; North America, Latin
America, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific (APAC ).
Further, granularity in terms of retail segmentation as well as retailer tiers
within each retail segment is incorporated. This research service should
facilitate understanding of the current and future market forces in retail for
actionable strategic marketing initiatives for retail technology vendors and
solution providers.
