Abstract
The air training and simulation market in India is in a growing stage. The
major participants operating in the market are CAE-Macmet, Thales, Hindustan
Aeronautics Limited (HAL), BAe Systems and Rheinmetall. There are other
smaller companies operating in this market along with a number of software
companies that cater to the software requirements of simulators. Simulators
are available for different types of combat aircrafts, helicopters, general
purpose and transport aircrafts. The market for computerised wargaming and
live training by non-state participants is yet to emerge.
