Abstract
The future of the command and control technology will lie in the enhancement
of the current capabilities while keeping the easiness of use. The need for
sophisticated systems, that can easily be operated with just a short training
and are capable of commanding all sorts of equipment will be the main
requirement of European navies. The complexity of the system will of course
depend on the tasks a ship has to fulfill, on the sensor and equipment suit
and on the ability to upgrade the system, but still all navies will value most
price competitive and easy upgradeable solutions.
