Abstract
In China, the generator set (gen-set) market has developed quite rapidly in
recent years. 2008 was a particularly year for the Chinese gen-set market.
Events such as the snow disaster, the Beijing Olympic Games, the Wenchuan
earthquake and the worldwide economic crisis had all facilitated the Chinese
gen-set market experiencing an uncommon period of growth. In addition to the
global economic factors, there is another important factor, which has led to
the recession of the industry, which is the oil price.Therefore, from the
perspective of the sector, it is estimated that the diesel-fired gen-set
market share would decrease in the future.
