Abstract
The report is devoted to studying of float glass market in Russia, its
development under crisis conditions and forecast till 2012. This work is based
mainly on desk study, which results were obtained by expert analysis of
official statistics, publications in mass media, press-releases of companies
producing and consuming float glass as well as their annual and quarterly
reports. Besides to verify and correct some data telephone interviews with
representatives of float glass producers were conducted. The report consists
of 7 Sections; contains 80 pages, including 18 Figures, 39 Tables and Appendix.
The first Section of the report presents brief characteristics of global
market of float glass, data on volumes of its production by the leading
companies-manufacturers, regional and sectoral structure of float glass
consumption. Brief characteristics of float glass markets in Europe, North
America, China and CIS countries are presented as well.
The second Section describes the main kinds of resources for production of
float glass, including data on reserves, production volumes, volumes and
destinations of supplies in 2005-2008.
The third Section is devoted to analysis of float glass in Russia. The Section
presents statistics on float glass production in 2002-8 months of 2009,
description of the current conditions of the leading companies-manufacturers,
including data on product proposal and production volumes, volumes and
destinations of supplies in 2006-2008, influence of crisis on production
development.
The fourth Section analyses foreign trade operations of Russian companies in
float glass. It presents statistics on volumes of export and import of the
products in bulk and in money terms, estimation of regional structure of the
supplies, data on glass supplies volumes by leading Russian exporters and
importers.
The fifth Section of the report presents supply-demand balance of float glass
in Russia in 2002-8 months of 2009, estimation of regional and sectoral
structure of consumption.
The sixth Section presents data on dynamics of average prices of Russian
producers on float glass in 2002-8 months of 2009, dynamics of average
consumer' s prices on the products (in general in Russia and split by Federal
Districts) as well as current prices of several float glass producers.
The seventh, final, Section is devoted to forecast of supply-demand balance of
float glass in Russia till 2012, which takes into consideration of
financial-economical crisis influence on the main consuming industries as well
as running new capacities.
