Abstract
IAL Consultants is pleased to announce the forthcoming publication of its
global review of the polyurethane dispersions (PUD) industry.
Water-based PUDs are receiving an increasing amount of attention due to
environmental and health legislation that promote the use of water-based
products over their more traditional solvent-based counterparts. In addition,
their performance has improved over recent years and is now comparable to, if
not better, than that of solvent-based products. The market share of PUDs has
increased significantly in applications such as coatings and adhesives and has
only been hindered by their relatively high cost. Whilst demand in Europe and
North America continues to grow, significant volumes are also consumed in Far
East by the textile and leather industry.
This report will define the size of the market in 2009 and look at the
expectations of how the markets will develop in the current economic climate.
The report is available as a single volume, covering the three main global
regions:
- EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa)
- The Americas
- Asia-Pacific
Data for both the production and consumption of PUDs by major country and
application type is presented as follows:
- Adhesives
- Industrial Coatings
- Fibre Glass Sizings
- Leather & Textile Applications
IAL has researched the markets for polyurethane products and chemicals since
1985 and its global range of reports covers the markets in Europe, Middle East
& Africa, Asia-Pacific, India and South America.
