Abstract
This IDC study analyzes the broadband Internet access services market
in Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) or APEJ from 2009 to 2013.
It provides data on the key broadband access technologies —
DSL, cable modem, metro Ethernet, and fixed wireless access (FWA).
This
study provides market overviews and forecasts in terms of number
of subscribers and revenue for 11 country markets — Australia,
Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, the People' s
Republic of China (PRC), Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand — by
product category.
"In the APEJ region, the broadband access services market
continues to show growth. While more advanced markets are quickly
approaching saturation, developing markets are just starting to enter the
growth phase," says Kenneth Liew, senior market analyst, Communications Research,
