Abstract
This IDC study provides a competitive analysis of the top
system and network management software (SNMS) vendors in Asia/Pacific (excluding
Japan) or APEJ. The study also provides an analysis of
the competitive dynamics that drive the market in this region
through an analysis of the strategies, performances, product developments of
the top vendors.
"The overall SNMS market in APEJ was estimated
to be worth US$753.1 million in 2008, growing about 5.5%
over its value in the previous year," says Adren Lim,
market analyst, Software Research, IDC Asia/Pacific. "IDC estimates the market
to be worth US$1005.1 at 5.9% five-year compound annual growth
rate (CAGR), significantly driven by the People' s Republic of China
(PRC) and India. SNMS investments are currently at the top
of most organizations' plans across APEJ, spurred by the benefits
of governance and cost-saving advantages," he adds.
