Abstract
This IDC study provides a comprehensive summary of the China
packaged software market for 2008 and a five-year revenue forecast
by form factor market through 2013. Top 10 vendor ranking
and key highlights are provided for 2008.
"The China software marketplace
might be bearing the least impact from the global economic
crisis and is expected to be the first to pick
up in 2009," says Felix Liu, research manager, Software and
Services Research, IDC China. "In the meantime, the reorganization of
carriers and the network/business restructuring of 3G business, and the
government' s stimulus package as well as emerging IT needs from
tier 2 banks are the key market drivers in 2009.
Virtualization, cloud computing, and the appliance approach are also some
of the high pitches in the market," he adds.
