Abstract
This IDC Buyer Case Study discusses the results of an
interview with First Data, one of the world' s leading providers
of electronic commerce and payment solutions for merchants, financial institutions,
and card issuers. In 2008, the company' s revenue was $8.8
billion, and the global organization has operations in 36 countries
which serve over 5.3 million merchant locations and more than
2,000 card issuers and their customers. This Buyer Case Study
examines how First Data has implemented identity and access management
technologies, specifically password management and user provisioning, to strengthen security
and achieve compliance.
