Abstract
This IDC study presents a detailed description of our software
taxonomy. IDC' s software taxonomy is used in all IDC software
reports. All reports of markets classified by functions and all
competition analysis reports published by IDC are based on this
taxonomy. Understanding of the overall structure of the software market
and the way we organize our software market reports can
be gained from this study. In addition, this study provides
market sizing (estimates) for the 2008 Japan software market as
well as market size forecasts for 2009 to 2013.
