Abstract
This IDC study examines the Danish BA software market for
the 2007–2013 period, including vendor revenue trends and market growth
forecasts. "The Danish BA software market showed a healthy growth
of 8% in 2008, but the recession began impacting the
market at the end of 2008, and the lack of
momentum has continued into 2009," says Research Manager Brian Troelsen
at IDC Nordic. "BA software and the related services are
not as affected by the financial crisis as other software
markets, due to strong underlying demand for data analysis and
quantitative support for critical decisions."
"The competitive landscape in the BA
services is blurring: not only does the ongoing consolidation alter
the competitive scene, but increased interest from accounting companies, management
consultants, and traditional IT services vendors is also creating new
market dynamics. It is important that the traditional vendors in
the BA space understands this development, as it creates new
business opportunities through partnerships, but also spawns a new breed
of competitors, with their own distinct differentiators," Troelsen asserts.
