Abstract
This IDC study analyzes the Swedish software market in 2008,
noting that slowed down compared with 2007, and recorded a
growth rate of 5.2%. "The financial crises and the slowing
down of economic growth has taken its first toll on
the growth of the software markets. This will also be
the case in 2009, but the slowdown will not as
dramatic as we had feared six months ago," says Per
Andersen, Managing Director at IDC Nordic. "We still forecast positive
growth in the Swedish software market in 2009, and that
its recovery will materialize in 2010."
IDC expects the Swedish software
market to grow by a compound annual growth rate (CAGR)
of 4.6% for the period 2009–2013.
