Abstract
This IDC study presents the Adriatics IT services industry in
2008 and forecasts expenditure through 2013. The study contains market
size, vendor market shares, and forecasts for thirteen foundation market
categories.
The study ranks the top IT services providers in the
Adriatic region by 2008 revenues and includes detailed profiles of
the top ten, their presence in individual vertical markets, and
their largest contracts. The top IT services vendors for each
of IDC' s foundation market categories are also provided.
The study answers
the following questions:
- What are IDC' s predictions for spending on IT
services? What are the assumptions behind the forecasts and the
impacts they are likely to have on the markets?
- What are
the new trends in IT services delivery, such as outsourcing
and business services?
- Who are the market leaders, based on services
revenue, and what are their strengths, weaknesses, and strategies for
the future?
"The Adriatics IT services market and IT market in
general will be negatively influenced by the global economic crisis
in 2009 and 2010. It is important for vendors to
be aware that, during the downturn, customers will demand higher
value for the same money, and their spending will be
selective and prudent. If not deemed crucial, hardware replacements, software
investments, and new project undertakings will be postponed until the
end of the recession. Nonetheless, investments in projects aimed at
cost reduction or that create a competitive advantage are likely
to go through." Senior Research Analyst Dalibor Suboticanec, IDC
