Abstract
This IDC study provides an update of the disk storage systems market in the Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) or APEJ region for 1H05. It includes a regional market overview and vendor share tables for each of the 12 countries covered in the region. The study also presents updated market forecasts reflecting the changed market conditions.
"There is a continuing demand for additional storage capacity, but market revenue growth remains a challenge due to falling hardware prices and the increasing interest in lower cost options. IDC expects most vendors will concentrate their marketing resources in the growth markets of the Peoples Republic of China (PRC) and India, rather than in the slower growing markets within the region," says Graham Penn, associate vice president, Asia/Pacific Storage Research, IDC. |
