This IDC study analyzes the China next-generation network (NGN) market status
and development trends. It includes a China NGN market development history and
road map, key carriers' strategies, key vendors' strategies, inhibitors and
drivers, development trends, and IDC's recommendations.
"The China NGN market has started its commercial network construction a year
ago already, and is highly expected to keep continuous and robust growth in the
near future. From a long-term perspective, NGN will change the service usage
platform entirely and provide richer service applications and boost further
terminal convergence and transformation. However, strict market regulations,
lack of killer apps, and immature business models will all inhibit NGN market
