Abstract
This IDC study examines the extent of managed services adoption by and future
plans of large enterprises across the Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) or APEJ
region. IDC surveyed enterprises in 10 APEJ countries to assess their usage of
and future needs for managed services. This study also discusses the problems
and issues faced with managed services and the large enterprises' criteria in
selecting a managed services provider.
"Large enterprises are slowly looking beyond cost savings as a main motivator
for adopting managed services," says Adrian Dominic Ho, research manager,
Managed Services and Enterprise Networks, IDC Asia/Pacific. "The challenge for
services providers now lies beyond the realm of cost savings; services
providers need to effectively articulate to large enterprises the other value
propositions of managed services."
