Abstract
This IDC study presents an analysis of the disk storage systems market in Japan
in 2H05. The market size is shown in terms of revenue, terabyte shipments, and
unit shipments from 1H03 to 2H05. The market is analyzed by type of OS,
installation environment (i.e., DAS, SAN, or NAS), and type of model (i.e.,
external or internal). Supplier share is presented in terms of revenue,
terabyte shipments, and unit shipments from 1H04 to 2H05.
"The reinforcement of security, business continuity, and compliance are
becoming the important criteria for storage investment among Japan companies.
Disk storage systems suppliers should reinforce their product strategies and
sales strategies in response to such changes in users' investment criteria in
