Abstract
This IDC study provides insights on trends on small businesses' adoption of
enterprise mobility based on IDC' s Asia/Pacific (Excluding Japan)
Communications Survey, 2006 in 11 markets in the region. The survey findings
presented in this study focus on the mobility adoption patterns and spending
plans of small businesses (<100 employees) in the region. The analyses were
based on the survey results segmented by country. This IDC study also provides
guidance to enterprise mobility vendors targeting small businesses in key
markets in Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) or APEJ and what is prompting small
businesses to take the mobility route.
"Enterprise mobility offers cost-effective tools for small businesses in APEJ
to enhance their workforce productivity. Mobility solutions and devices can
help small businesses gain a more even footing in the market and bridge the
digital divide between small and medium-sized to large enterprises," says
Shalini Verma, senior market analyst, Enterprise Mobility Research, IDC
Asia/Pacific.
