Abstract
This IDC study analyzes the network consulting and integration services (NCIS)
market across Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) or APEJ. It leverages the insights
of local analysts in 12 countries as well as dedicated regional services
analysts from IDC' s services expertise centers in Singapore, Hong Kong, and
Australia. The study' s goal is to clarify the key market dynamics and
competitive environment in APEJ.
"Organizations throughout the APEJ region, as with the rest of the globe, are
positioning IT as central to their strategies to both remain competitive and to
enable growth. Whether they are updating their business models, looking for
efficiencies in the supply chain, trying to reduce cost or to improve internal
and external communications, IT is often central to these plans. At the core of
these developments is the network. The convergence of voice and data and the
rise of wireless technologies and mobility solutions have combined to open up
new possibilities in the way enterprises can conduct business. Additionally,
the data explosion continues. New technologies are emerging to store, manage
and analyze this data. The network is often core to the successful integration
of these technologies," says Richard Pirrit, research manager, Asia/Pacific
Services Research, IDC New Zealand.
