Abstract
This IDC study analyzes the status and development trends of China' s broadband
value-added service (VAS) market, and examine the developments of the broadband
VAS market, the broadband VAS value chain, strategy of operators, and future
development trends. The study makes forecast for the market in the next five
years and provides IDC' s recommendations to major market participants.
"China' s broadband VASs took off in 2006. Operators have already begun to
carefully study consumer demands and gradually improve business models of
broadband VAS. Broadband VASs like online gaming and IPTV will drive the
broadband market further over the next five years," says Kevin Li, senior
research analyst, Telecom Research Group, IDC China.
