Abstract
This IDC study provides a 2006 year in review and a forecast of the large
format printer market for both color and monochrome printers. The large format
printer market continues to see growth, albeit slower, which is driven by the
graphic arts market. Although the computer-aided design (CAD) segment is
mature, it will remain an important driver for large format shipments.

printer market. An area to watch is growth in UV-curable large format printers
for a broad range of large format applications. Surprisingly, the monochrome
laser/LED segment continues to show that it remains an important segment within
