Abstract
This IDC study examines the U.S. document solutions market for hardcopy vendors
and their solutions partners. The U.S. market for document solutions was $1.381
billion in 2006 and is expected to grow to $2.103 billion by the year 2011.
This represents a compound annual growth rate of 8.8%. Key growth areas in the
market continue to be paper/digital document management solutions and document
production. IDC believes that the size of this market represents significant
opportunities for all hardcopy vendors and software companies that address
document-intensive business processes.
"The market for document solutions in the United States will continue to grow
at a steady pace as hardcopy vendors and solutions providers alike bring
attention to opportunities deep within customer enterprises," stated Michael
Orasin, research manager for IDC' s Hardcopy Document Solutions group.
