Abstract
This IDC study presents the latest market forecast and trend observations for
the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) enterprise resource management (ERM)
market. The study shows that market growth is set to continue in the ERM space
across ANZ with the SMB size segment driving much of the growth and revenue
opportunity. There has been a broad shift in revenue over the past few years,
with the majority now coming from the midmarket.
"The midmarket is really the central growth opportunity most vendors are moving
after in ERM. A lot of the low-hanging fruit is rapidly being snapped up, but
the SMB space is a diverse market that will continue to mature and radiate
opportunity. But the enterprise segment should not be ignored; there is a great
deal more application capability and integration that these organisations are
seeking," says Mark Wheeler, market analyst, Software, IDC Australia and New
Zealand.
