Abstract
In this document, IDC profiles one of the best-known antivirus experts,
Kaspersky Lab. Created in Moscow in 1997, Kaspersky Lab celebrated its first
decade of activity in 2007. The company' s financial situation is very healthy,
with a net margin estimated by IDC at around 10%. Revenue is growing rapidly,
and reached $130 million in 2007. Kaspersky Lab, based in Russia, is rapidly
developing its activity in Western Europe, APAC, and the U.S., competing
locally with other security vendors. At the same time, Kaspersky Lab is
delivering its technology and knowledge to other security vendors through an
important partner program. More than 35 security players use KL technology
worldwide. Since mid-2007, KL also entered the managed security services (MSS)
market and develops an ambitious partner program at country level.
This profile provides financial results for 2005, 2006, and 2007, an overview
