Abstract
This IDC study examines the mobile security software market from 2007 to 2012.
Worldwide market sizing is provided for 2007, and a five-year growth forecast
for this market is shown for 2008-2012. This study also includes an overview of
the mobile threat environment and identifies the characteristics that vendors
will need to be successful in the future.
"As the worldwide mobile workforce continues to grow, more and more work is
being done on laptops and converged mobile devices," says Stacy Sudan, research
analyst with IDC' s Mobile Enterprise Software program. "Savvy enterprises will
take steps to manage and secure these devices just like any other endpoint."
