Abstract
This IDC study is an update to Worldwide IT Leasing and Financing 2007-2010
Forecast: Sizing the Top 25 Global Markets (IDC #207045, June 2007) and
provides a forecast of the top 25 global markets for IT equipment, which
combined represented 90% of worldwide IT spending in 2007, and its related
leasing and financing opportunities through 2011.

the growth will be attributed to software. Another positive and
counterintuitive finding is that the transition to the new principles-based
accounting standards, which increased the level of transaction transparency,
have apparently resulted in robust leasing activity in most countries in
