Following-up on the study Western Europe Information Technology Vertical
Markets Spending Forecast 2007-2011 (IDC #M03P, July 2007), this document
provides new data and analysis for Western European IT spending trends by
vertical market for 2005-2010.
Data is consistent with IDC' s fourth-quarter Black-Book 2007. IT spending
estimates and forecasts are provided for:
- 18 vertical markets: agriculture/construction/mining; discrete manufacturing; process manufacturing; transport; communications; utilities; retail; wholesale; banking; insurance; other finance; business services; central government; local government; health; education; home; other.
- Total Western Europe and the top 5 Western European countries (Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Spain).
The analysis focuses on changes:
