Abstract
This study is a detailed competitive view of the Western European ERP
applications market by vertical market. The study segments the 2006 license and
maintenance revenues of the Western European ERP applications market by 11
vertical segments in Western Europe overall and for the five largest verticals
(in five European countries).
"Business services, process manufacturing, and utilities had a great year in
2006. In terms of market leadership, SAP held its number 1 position across all
verticals. However, in government, the gap between SAP and Oracle is closing
and in healthcare the gap has all but disappeared," said Bo Lykkegaard,
research director, European enterprise applications at IDC.
