Abstract
This IDC study presents the dynamics of IT applications and the development
trends in the manufacturing industry in China through a detailed description of
major application solution markets and the competitive environment in the
industry in 2007. This study also provides a five-year forecast for major IT
application and solution markets and a competitive analysis of key solution
vendors in the manufacturing industry in 2007. In addition, it sheds light on
the China manufacturing industry' s IT spending by solution type.
In 2007, the overall manufacturing IT market size was RMB 49.13 billion
(US$6,447.51 million) - an increase of 20.4% over that in 2006. By 2012, the
China manufacturing IT market will stand at RMB 81.73 billion (US$10.73
billion), with a 2007-2012 compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.7%. In
2007, the China manufacturing IT solution market (software + software-related
services) was estimated at RMB 9.46 billion (US$1,241.47 million), accounting
for 48.4% of the overall manufacturing software and services market. By 2012,
the overall manufacturing IT solutions market will stand at RMB 22.80 billion
(US$2,992.13 million), with a 2007-2012 CAGR of 19.2%," says Stephen Gao,
