This IDC study presents residual value projections, current fair market values,
and specification charts for Cisco networking equipment. The equipment covered
includes the Catalyst switch families, high-end routers, midrange routers,
remote access routers, and remote access servers. Cisco remains the world' s
largest supplier of high-performance computer internetworking systems,
supplying the majority of networking gear used for the Internet. The company
offers the industry' s broadest line of networking products, which is a
significant advantage, as many customers prefer complete end-to-end solutions.
Investments in Cisco networking equipment technologies remain solid because of
Cisco' s dominant position in the market and the consistent growth expected in
