"In many cases, tier 2 local system integrators (SIs) and even worldwide large
service providers (SPs) place themselves as partners or subcontractors of Korea
large SIs in Korea because of its own captive market that is usually related to
large contracts. So tier 2 SIs are focusing on niche or specific solution
market but recently they are now willing to spread coverage across the entire
market," says Soonyul Chang, senior research manager, IDC Korea.
