This IDC study focuses on the disk storage system market in the Asia/Pacific
(excluding Japan) or APEJ region and provides a detailed look at the 2007
market. It presents comprehensive data tables and figures relating to the
market and includes a separate section for each of the 14 countries and
territories in the region. Where appropriate, it also compares growth with the
2006 market.
This study focuses on disk storage systems used in a networked storage or
server-attached environment. The data shows storage system market revenue and
terabyte shipments for a range of variables, including server OS, splits
between internal and external storage, and splits between direct-attached
storage (DAS), storage area networks (SANs), and network-attached storage
(NAS). This databook also provides totals for each country, highlighting the
market shares of the major vendors in each country in 2007.
