Abstract
This IDC study presents results from IDC' s 2007 Consumer Internet Video Survey
through the lens of home network ownership.
"Consumers are open to and anticipating solutions for delivering Internet video
to their television sets, and when it comes to networked solutions for sending
Internet video around the home, the industry has to step up with integrated
solutions that deliver ease-of-use and reliability comparable to that of other
consumer electronics. Furthermore, people who own home networks, and therefore
already have the equipment necessary for networked video solutions, are ready
to give their home networks a chance at delivering digital video around the
home," said Jonathan Gaw, research manager for IDC' s Consumer Markets: Home
Networking program.
