Abstract
This IDC study looks at the worldwide market for plasma displays. It includes a
market forecast from 2008 to 2012 split by region and screen size. In addition,
it provides 2007 historical market share information for PDPs in the U.S.
market and worldwide. Despite a widespread doom-and-gloom sentiment echoing
throughout the TV industry regarding plasma' s future prospects, we maintain
that this flat-panel technology will continue to improve in performance and
reliability and move millions of units out the door through 2012.
