Abstract
This IDC study quantifies the U.S. color laser MFP and printer market
opportunity and analyzes the issues and trends. It includes A3 and A4
configurations and examines the total market. The forecast contains data for
the U.S. markets for 2003-2012. Unit shipment, value of shipments, and average
selling value (ASV) information is presented. Data for 2003-2007 is actual,
whereas data for 2008-2012 is projected.
"A4 MFPs represent a hot spot for MFP activity, with high growth rates
throughout the forecast period. However, the major difference in price points
between A3 and A4 formats presents a significant challenge to copier MFP
vendors as these low-priced A4 MFPs enter the market and show strong shipment
