This IDC study sizes and forecasts the market in Western Europe for IP VPN
services. It presents total IP VPN sites and spending numbers by country and
company size.
According to James Eibisch, research director for IDC' s European Telco
Strategies, "The IP VPN market continues to grow in terms of connected sites
and total user spending. This growth is driven both by the surge in
applications and services that run over a native IP network such as VoIP and
Web-centric applications, and by stimulation of demand caused by falling
prices."
