Abstract
This IDC study examines SOA adoption trends and buying intentions of U.S.
companies with respect to SOA service offerings. Observations are based upon an
online survey conducted in December 2007.
"As SOA is gradually being adopted by a growing number of enterprises to reach
the mainstream, service vendors will increasingly be asked to provide
assistance with a wide range of issues. End users are faced with a myriad of
challenges," said Marianne Hedin, program manager for the SOA: The Services
Opportunity research program.
